I’ve been feeling really down lately and I can’t figure it out. So I decided to do something The Blonde used to do to feel better. Listen to positivity meditation. Duh. You can say how could you not know about having that?
I actually had a conversation with Marion earlier about crispy pepperoni and how I loved it. (Had for the first time last night – fried and plain with Vermont sharp cheddar as a snack my son prepared lol) Well, apparently The Blonde did not like pepperoni and I do. (Diana) Marion asked me how I didn’t know I liked pepperoni. I tried to explain that I don’t know what I don’t know. It’s just part of the DID. I don’t know what I do that is different, eat different, dress or act different because it’s all the same to me. I won’t know unless someone brings it up. The stronger ones are the ones who may or may not have either minor differences or major. The problem, if you can call it that, is for the Singles. Not that I would do this but even if I could know what the differences are between the “major players” I wouldn’t want to try to be someone else. We all just are who we are. You can say I’m a variety pack.
I bet you are wondering what the hell the subject line has to do with any of this… well, I’ll tell ya. Have you ever heard any of the meditations that Dick Sutphen does? You really should if you want to do your best to rid your mind of negative thoughts… in my case my minds. lol I am in no way saying buy it and yea he’s got some um, interesting ones there. I have the “Stop Anxiety and Fearful Thoughts” as well as his Chakra Balancing ones. Here is some of what I call Stop Sign Positivity… (It’s on his site as well)
From this moment on you accept only positive, neutral, loving, or supportive thoughts and feelings. And if other thoughts should creep in, you immediately recognize and reject them. You reject all undesired thoughts, never dwelling upon them. If you attempt to reason out such thoughts and what’s behind them, it only strengthens them. So you instantly “stop” the thought and reverse it. Say the word “stop,” out loud or silently in your mind — visualizing a red stop sign as you say “stop.” Then reverse the power of the thought by vividly imaging things being exactly as you want them to be. And these suggestions are being communicated to every level of your body and mind, and they’re accepted on every level of your body and mind, and so it is.
I popped on my headphones and turned on my iPod and started to listen… within 5 minutes I started to feel better… it’s a precarious better. I’m going to try to remember to take them upstairs and listen to it while I fall asleep. I usually forget to bring them up and remember when I’m in bed. lol I have a lot of meditation music on my iPod which is good because I won’t get bored.
I just thought I’d share. 🙂
