Are you on the verge of becoming a hoarder? Have you lost so much that you feel as if you need to hold onto everything you have left? If so, read on paying attention to the reversed meaning of the card.
Four of Earth:
Having special toys and other possessions is part of the pleasure of being a cat, and we all have collections of favorite items we like to keep just for ourselves. But some cats take this to extremes. This cat has lost all sense of proportion when it comes to material goods. He’s forgotten how to enjoy his toys, and his obsession with acquiring more has become his sole focus in life. Alone and suspicious, he guards his dusty hoard.
The Cat’s Advice:
All the toys in the world are worthless if you forget to play with them. What is at the root of your need for material possessions? There is some emptiness that needs to be filled, but collecting things won’t fill it. Seek solace in companionship and simple pleasures.
If the Card is reversed:
You are feeling (or will soon feel) a lightening of your spirit as emotional and physical clutter is released. Continue clearing away all the things you’ve been clinging to that no longer serve you, including ideas and relationships. What is truly valuable will remain.
When you’ve lost things that are important to you it is easy to get into the habit of holding onto what you have left with an iron fist. You fear that the rest will be taken away as well. Things are different now for sure and you need to let go and enjoy what you have left. Make room in your life for the magic that is to come. If you are too focused on what you have lost you will never see what you have to gain. Soon enough you will relax and let go of unnecessary clutter and in return you will feel lighter and more centered.
Until next time…
